To provide a method suitable for classification of nano-diamond particles, and a nano-diamond particle manufacturing method including conduction of the method.SOLUTION: The nano-diamond particle classification method includes an adsorption process S3 for contacting nano-diamond particles and mesoporous silica having a plurality of pores in a nano-diamond dispersion and generating an adsorbent in which the nano-diamond particles are adsorbed to the mesoporous silica, and a separation process S4 for recovering the adsorbent from the nano-diamond dispersion. The nano-diamond particle manufacturing method includes a generation process S1, a purification process S2, an adsorption process S3, a separation process S4, and a dissolution separation process S5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
