摘要
The disclosed embodiments facilitate calibration of wireless channels, including ranging and direction detection, between wirelessly networked devices. In some embodiments, a method at a first station (STA) transmits a first NDPA frame to one or more second stations (STAs); and the first NDPA frame is Transmitting a second frame after a short interval frame space (SIFS) time interval, comprising a first bit indicating that one or more subsequent frames comprise ranging or angle information. The second frame is one of an NDP_az frame with information about the time of transmission of the null data packet az (NDP_az) frame, or a null data packet (NDP) frame, or a beam refinement protocol (BRP) frame possible. The first NDPA frame may be unicast, multicast or broadcast.
