To dissolve "clogging" of a filter cloth belt due to dehydration treated material (a) and to control "cleaning irregularities" as much as possible by suppressing deposition/adhesion of substances peculiar to an iron-making process which promotes "clogging" when cleaning the filter cloth belt after filtration, in a filter cloth belt-type dehydration apparatus which filters slurry state or sludge state material to be dehydration-treated produced on the iron-making process with the filter cloth belt which is endlessly wound and is circulated.SOLUTION: A filter cloth belt cleaning method of a filter cloth belt-type dehydration apparatus is characterized in that (1) a plurality of pieces of cleaning nozzles are arranged in an array state with a filter cloth belt between in a width direction of the filter cloth belt and (2) acidic cleaning liquid is injected to both surfaces of the filter cloth belt after filtration from the cleaning nozzles, as the cleaning method for cleaning the filter cloth belt after filtration in the filter cloth belt-type dehydration apparatus which filters slurry state or sludge state material to be dehydration-treated produced from an iron making process with the filter cloth belt which is endlessly wound and is circulated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
