To provide an automatic diagnostic method of an elevator and an automatic diagnostic device of the elevator that generate highly accurate diagnostic result information while terminating the automatic diagnostic operation for each floor within a predetermined time at the elevator in which the automatic diagnostic operation relating to plural items for diagnosing an equipment operating state is executed every predetermined period.SOLUTION: When a time reaches a start time of the automatic diagnostic operation arriving every predetermined period, the automatic diagnostic operation of a plurality of operation items relating to equipment inside an elevator to be managed is started. The automatic diagnostic operation is interrupted every time a call by a user is generated. When a response to the call is completed, the automatic diagnostic operation is resumed. When the predetermined end time of the automatic diagnostic operation arrives, the automatic diagnostic operation is terminated regardless of whether the automatic diagnostic operation is completed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
