PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the maintenance technology of a control rod drive mechanism with which it is possible to reduce a workload and shorten work hours.SOLUTION: A maintenance tool 42 of a control rod drive mechanism 1 comprises: a shaft unit 54 rotatably supported by a closure unit 43 and extending in the vertical direction, with at least the top being contained in the closure unit 43; a first operation unit 44 used for operation to lift or lower the shaft unit 54; a first linkage unit 63 coming in contact with a first back sheet unit 12 provided at the bottom of a hollow piston 15 from below and lifting/lowering the first back sheet unit 12 by lifting/lowering of the shaft unit 54; a second operation unit 45 used for operation to rotate the shaft unit 54; and a second linkage unit 64 for rotating a drive spindle 13 of the hollow piston 15 by rotation of the shaft unit 54 and lifting/lowering a second back sheet unit 17 provided at the bottom of a control rod 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
