The purpose of the present invention is to provide a cell culture container for easily and quickly producing a sheet-shaped cell culture with excellent qualities and a method for producing a sheet-shaped cell culture using the aforesaid cell culture container. To achieve this purpose, provided are: a cell culture container having a nearly planar surface wherein a cell non-adhesion region and a cell adhesion region form a pattern shape; and a method for producing a sheet-shaped cell culture, said method comprising seeding cells on a culture substrate of the aforesaid cell culture container and then incubating the cells.
