PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna that increases electric field strength at a place where the electric field strength is not enough locally in the vicinity of the surface of a patch antenna and enables stable communication also in the vicinity of the antenna.SOLUTION: An antenna includes a grounding electrode, and a radiation electrode that faces the grounding electrode with an electrically-insulated insulation layer in between and resonates at a prescribed radio frequency, and supplies power to the radiation electrode at a position where the antenna has a prescribed impedance. The radiation electrode made up of a planar conductive member is provided with a slit 110 by cutting out at least part of the radiation electrode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1B
