PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce image data capacity of a compound-eye imaging device by enabling a range used for imaging to be selected within a variable range of focal lengths (view angles) obtained by a plurality of optical systems differing in focal length.SOLUTION: A compound-eye imaging apparatus comprises: imaging means including a plurality of imaging regions 102a-102d for picking up a plurality of optical images formed by a plurality of imaging optical systems 101a-101d differing in focal length from one another; display means 114 and 200 of displaying indexes indicative of variable ranges of focal lengths or view angles obtained using the plurality of imaging optical systems; and selecting means 108 of allowing a user to select an in-use range of a focal length or view angle used for imaging among the variable ranges. Further, the imaging apparatus has control means 106 and 111 for imaging with an imaging region corresponding to at least one imaging optical system having a focal length or view angle corresponding to the in-use range among the plurality of imaging optical systems.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
