METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DISTRIBUTING MULTIMEDIA LICENSES WITHIN DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM OF SECURED MULTIMEDIA SERVICE

To provide a method and a device for distributing multimedia licenses by a server to a plurality of user devices in a distribution system of multimedia service.SOLUTION: A method comprises: verifying that computing resources used by a server do not exceed a maximal threshold in a regular mode of distribution (RM), if so, generating and then transmitting regular licenses (LIR) including first protection (KT1) in response to user device requests, otherwise switching the server to a singular mode of distribution (SM) to protect access using a second protection (KT2), independent of the first protection (KT1); generating and transmitting to user devices one singular license (LIS) comprising the second protection (KT2); verifying that the computing resources do not exceed the maximal threshold, if so, to switch from the singular mode to the regular mode so as to use the first protection (KT1).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
