PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a flexible conductive track arrangement suitable for use in a neurostimulation system such as a cochlear implant device.SOLUTION: A flexible conductive track arrangement comprises: a distal portion comprising a plurality of electrodes; a proximal portion comprising a plurality of contacts; and a strip between the distal portion and the proximal portion, the strip comprising a plurality of conductive tracks, each track connecting an electrode to a contact, where at least the conductive tracks are embedded in a dielectric layer 34, 36, the dielectric layer being embedded in a biocompatible polymer layer 18, 24 and having a thickness of less than 500 nm, where the biocompatible polymer layer has at least one substantially flat outer polymer surface without stepped profiles.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
