PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust heat recovery boiler and a gas seal method for exhaust heat recovery boiler capable of reducing more a clearance where gas flow is generated near an inner wall surface of a duct having no heat transfer pipe arranged.SOLUTION: An exhaust heat recovery boiler comprises a duct 2; heat transfer pipes 7 arranged inside the duct 2; a baffle plate 10 arranged at an inner wall surface side of the duct 2 rather than heat transfer pipes 7 and spaced apart from the inner wall surface; a long first seal plate 11 arranged to cross at a right angle in a longitudinal direction in respect to a flow of the exhaust gas flowing inside the duct 2 and protruded from the baffle plate 10 to the inner wall surface side of the duct 2; a long second seal plate 13 arranged to cause its longitudinal direction to be along the longitudinal direction of the first seal plate 11 and a short direction end part acting as a free end at the first seal plate 11 is arranged to be fixed to the inner wall surface in such a way that it may be contacted with the first seal plate 11, and the second seal plate 13 had a plurality of laminated thin plates 13A.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
