The invention relates to a mold temperature regulating device and a mold temperature regulating method. The mold temperature regulating device (1) circularly supplies a temperature regulating medium to a medium flowing path (4) which is arranged in a mold (3). The mold temperature regulating device is provided with the components of a temperature sensor (17) which detects the temperature of the regulating medium and/or the mold; a control part (21) which calculates a time length required for reaching a target temperature (SV) based on gradient of a tangential line (L1) of a temperature change curve (L) which is composed of output data of the temperature sensor at a preset time point (T1); and a reporting part (23) which reports the required time.
