To provide a control method of a power distribution transformer, which can precisely perform operation for adjusting a tap value of a power failure-side transformer to a tap value of a shift-side transformer upon recovery time to a system at regular time, which is performed after bank shift, and to provide a power distribution transformer control system used for the method.SOLUTION: A power distribution transformer control system 1 comprises: a communication section 1a; a reverse power flow occurrence monitoring section 1b; an operation section 1c for operating the number of lifting/lowering times of taps of a power distribution transformer; a processing section 1d for lifting/lowering the taps; a storage section 1e; a control section 1g for switching a connection state and a block state on a primary-side breaker and a secondary-side breaker of the power distribution transformer and on a bus communication breaker; an input section 1f; and a display section 1h; and the system is arranged in a control station 4 of a power company with a communication device 2.
