PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method of a snowdrift prediction model, the method having high reliability in predicting an occurrence of snowdrift on a road.SOLUTION: A construction method of a prediction model for performing the prediction related to occurrence of snowdrift on a road includes constructing a prediction model by a statistical analysis, on the basis of data created by associating environmental conditions including wide-area windward-side conditions and road/street conditions at plural points on the road, with information related to occurrence of snowdrift at the points. The wide-area windward-side conditions include a condition related to a wind blowing distance, and the road/street conditions include a condition related to a height difference between the road surface and the surrounding ground and a condition related to an angle formed between the road and the wind.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
