Fixed shoulder type friction stir welding tool and fixed shoulder type friction stir welding method using the same

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stationary shoulder type frictional agitation joint tool relatively simple and easy to use without using a special filler metal feeder and relatively small in the load on the feeder, and to provide a method for frictional agitation joint using the tool.SOLUTION: A stationary shoulder type frictional agitation joint tool includes a rotary tool and a stationary shoulder. The shoulder comprises a guide part and a building-up molding part, and in the guide part, a flat part for reducing and deforming a filler metal between the shoulder and a joined member is provided to the guide part in the vicinity of a probe. The deformed filler metal is deformable to fill therewith, and the filler metal is fixed to the flat part and the joined member by a frictional force generating between the deformed filler metal and the flat part. The plasticized joined member and the filler metal are prevented from outflow from a probe agitation part by agitation of the probe. A method for a stationary shoulder type frictional agitation joint using the joint tool is also provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
