To provide a device for a work on an inclined plane of which a cost is low, attachment/detachment can be easily performed, and control and management are convenient, and a method for such a work.SOLUTION: A device for a work on an inclined plane has: a working robot 1 which performs a work onto an inclined plane; a follow-up vehicle 2; and a cable 3 which connects the working robot and the follow-up vehicle to each other. The working robot and the follow-up vehicle has a positioning system for acquiring mutual positions. The follow-up vehicle follows the working robot, and thus can automatically move while identifying a robot of the working robot. A power source is provided on the follow-up vehicle, and continuously provides power for a work by the working robot via the cable.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
