PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide "an automatic driving level control apparatus and an automatic driving level control method" which can control an automatic driving level allowing setting by reflecting a capability necessary for driving inherently provided by a driver.;SOLUTION: An automatic driving level control device 100 comprises: an age acquiring unit 11 that acquires information indicating a driver's age; and a level control unit 19 for setting, the higher the age of the driver is, the higher degree of automatization of automatic driving level that allows setting, on the basis of the information indicating the age of the driver acquired by the age acquiring unit 11.
