PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the man-hour of a maintenance person at maintenance replacement, and to avoid a risk of incorrect setting of a configuration file.SOLUTION: A network device 100 acquires an adjacent configuration file from an adjacent network device, to preserve the acquired adjacent configuration file in a memory 140 of the self-network device. Network devices 200, 300 preserve the self-configuration files of the self-network devices in memories 240, 340, to transmit the preserved self-configuration files to adjacent network devices. At the maintenance replacement, a network device 400 acquires a configuration file for the self-network device from an adjacent network device, to preserve the acquired configuration file in a memory 440 of the self-network device as a self-configuration file.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
