To provide a method and a device for detecting the inclination of an iron tower, the method and the device allowing a quantitative and direct measurement of the inclination of the iron tower and suppression of processing load of acquired data.SOLUTION: The method for detecting the inclination of an iron tower according to the present invention typically includes the steps of: acquiring point group data by scanning an existing iron tower 140 by a ground-type laser device 142; extracting the respective feature lines L1 to L4 of a plurality of main column materials of the iron tower 140 from the point group data; calculating the center line C1 of the iron tower 140 from the feature lines L1 to L4; and calculating the inclination of the iron tower 140 from the center line C1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
