PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blocking inhibitor for use in an air preheater capable of decomposing a sticking matter such as ammonium hydrogen sulfate sticking to the air preheater or the like disposed in a flue of a coal thermal power generation furnace to enable the furnace to continuously operate at a high load, and an exhaust gas treatment method employing the blocking inhibitor.;SOLUTION: The blocking inhibitor comprising a compound of at least one metal species selected from the group consisting of magnesium, calcium, strontium, barium, radium, sodium, lithium and potassium is injected into a furnace or a flue disposed upstream relative to an air preheater.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT
