PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminance controller, a light-emitting device and a luminance control method with which it is possible to minimize adverse effects on display quality while suppressing an increase in power consumption.;SOLUTION: A luminance controller in a first embodiment of the present disclosure includes a luminance control unit for controlling the emission luminance of a pixel array unit having a self-light-emitting element of current drive type for each pixel. The luminance control unit sets, on the basis of an image signal corresponding to a frame image, a threshold for detecting the maximum value of signal level of the image signal, and dynamically controls, on the basis of the maximum value detected using the set threshold, a potential difference between a first voltage outputted from a first voltage source on the anode side of the self-light-emitting element and a second voltage outputted from a second voltage source on the cathode side of the self-light-emitting element.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3;COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT
