PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide friction force generation mechanism which stably achieves large load power and high durability and can be used in a die cushion of a press machine, and to provide a die cushion device.SOLUTION: A friction cushion 15 comprises: a hub 33 having a friction hole 36; a friction pin 31 which is fitted in the friction hole 36 so as to slide in an axial direction; and a supply system 16 which supplies a lubrication oil serving as a cooling medium to a space between the hub 33 and the friction pin 31. The friction hole 36 and the friction pin 31 are fitted by interference fit. A die cushion device 10 serially includes the friction cushion 15 and an air cushion device 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
