To provide a filler which is a porous body and capable of decreasing a filling height to a practical level height, a distillation separation method using the filler, and a distillation separator.MEANS: A filler to be filled into a distillation tower to which a processing liquid is supplied, is covered with micropore formation means of which at least a surface is constituted of a porous body developing capillarity effects. The micropore formation means is a metal sprayed layer or a metal sintered body. As for the metal sprayed layer, an aluminium sprayed layer is used. As for a filler using the aluminium sprayed layer, an 'aluminium sprayed Matsui regulation 250S' is exemplified.
