To secure a communication path in space optical communication over a wide range such that stable communication can be performed.SOLUTION: A spatial optical communication system includes a space optical transceiver 211 configured to be movable, a terminal-side electronic device 210 connected to the space optical transceiver 211 so as to transmit and receive data, a plurality of distributed and arranged spatial optical transceivers 221A to 221C, a host-side electronic device 220 for sending and receiving data, and a signal selector 300 connected thereto and select the spatial optical transceivers 221A to 221C, an IDLE signal is always allowed to flow through an optical transmission line between the spatial optical transceiver 211 and the spatial optical transceivers 221A to 221C, one of the spatial optical transceiver 221A to 221C whose intensity is the maximum is selected, and the data is transmitted and received through the selected transmitters/receivers.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
