PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joining method of a steel pipe which can rigidly join an upper steel pipe to a lower steel pipe which is driven into the ground, and can absorb construction errors in a horizontal direction and a vertical direction.SOLUTION: When joining an upper steel pipe 3 to a lower steel pipe 2 which is driven into the ground, a vertical direction position of the lower steel pipe 2 and a construction position of a first temporary receiving member 16 are measured in advance, the upper steel pipe 3 is cut to a prescribed length dimension according to the measured position, a second temporary receiving member 18 is attached to the upper steel pipe 3 according to the measured position, after that, the upper steel pipe 3 is inserted into the lower steel pipe 2, and mortar 6 is filled into a clearance between the lower steel pipe 2 and the upper steel pipe 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
