In order to provide a collagen or atelocollagen hydrolysate having a novel physiological function, a production method for said hydrolysate, and a use for said hydrolysate, a collagen or atelocollagen hydrolysate is used that has a chemical bond that has been cut at a specified position inside a triple helical domain of the collagen or atelocollagen.
