The present invention relates to an ammonium borofluoride compound, an ammonium borofluoride nonlinear optical crystal, a production method, and an application. The compound has a chemical formula of NH4B4O6F, a molecular weight of 176.28, and is produced by a solid-phase reaction method. Is NH4B4O6F, the molecular weight is 176.28, the crystal belongs to the orthorhombic system, the space group is Pna21, the unit cell parameters are a = 7.615 (3) Å, b = 111.207 (4 ) Å, c = 6.604 (3) Å, Z = 4, V = 563.6Å3. By this method, a centimeter-class NH4B4O6F nonlinear optical crystal can be obtained, and a harmonic light output of 2 times, 3 times, 4 times, 5 times, or 6 times the 1064 nm fundamental frequency light output from the Nd: YAG laser can be obtained. Use in a process to perform or use in a process of generating a deep ultraviolet multiplied optical output of less than 200 nm or a multiplier generator, an up or down frequency converter or an optical parametric oscillator. The NH4B4O6F nonlinear optical crystal has the advantages that the transparent wavelength range is wider, the physicochemical properties are stable, the mechanical hardness is large, it is difficult to tear and deliquesce, and it is easy to cut, buff and store.
