To provide a metal support preventing local deformation and separation at a boundary between a gas permeable portion and a gas non-permeable portion of the metal support in a solid oxide fuel cell even if thermal stress is concentrated at the boundary, and thereby preventing a battery structure from being damaged.SOLUTION: A metal support integrally includes a body part 11 having gas permeability at the center thereof and a frame part 12 having gas non-permeability on the outer periphery thereof. A boundary region 13 between the body part 11 and the frame part 12 is inclined with respect to the thickness direction of the metal support, and a contact area with the boundary region 13 is wide, so that the metal support is excellent in adhesive strength between the body part 11 and the frame part 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
