PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biomolecule detection or quantitative determination method for highly sensitively and highly accurately detecting biomolecules by a competition method.SOLUTION: The biomolecule detection or quantitative determination method using a test kit for the biomolecule detection or quantitative determination is provided. The test kit for the biomolecule detection or quantitative determination includes a test piece for the biomolecule detection or quantitative determination, and labeling reagent particles for the biomolecule detection or quantitative determination. The test piece includes a test area for capturing biomolecules and the labeling reagent particles. The labeling reagent particle comprises fluorescent silica nanoparticles, where a carrier substance is introduced on a surface of the labeling reagent particle, and a substance competing with the biomolecule as the detection object is introduced on the surface of the labeling reagent particle. The biomolecule detection or quantitative determination method detects or quantitatively determines the biomolecules contained in a specimen on the basis of light emission intensity of the test area of the test piece to which the specimen containing the biomolecules and the labeling reagent particles are added.SELECTED DRAWING: None
