PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide combustion wood which can be burned satisfactorily.SOLUTION: A wood body 3 has a columnar shape whose axis line is a longitudinal direction, and a lower portion of the wood body has a lateral combustion hole 9 which is opened at an outer side surface 6 of the wood body 3 and has an axis line being transverse. The wood body 3 has a first inner longitudinal combustion hole 11a which opens at an upper end face 10 of the wood body 3 along the axis line of the wood body 3 and extends in the longitudinal direction and communicates with the lateral combustion hole 9 at a lower end of the wood body. A plurality of second inner longitudinal combustion holes 11b are provided on substantially the same circumference around the first inner longitudinal combustion holes 11a. The wood body 3 has an outer edge side provided with an outer longitudinal combustion hole 13 which opens at the upper end face 10 of the wood body 3 and extends in the longitudinal direction.
