PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method that can easily grasp how the activity status of a mobile varies in a video display of a monitoring area, and easily perform customization of changing the analysis aspect of the activity status.SOLUTION: The activity status analysis system includes an activity status analysis device 3 including a camera 1 having a position information acquiring part 32 for acquiring position information of each mobile from video of a monitoring area, and an activity information acquiring part 34 for acquiring activity information of each unit time from the position information of each mobile, a processing condition (observation condition) setting part 40 for setting the display time of the activity status of the mobile and the length of an observation term, an observation term controller 36 for controlling the observation term according to the length of the observation term, an activity information compacting part 37 for acquiring the activity information of the observation term while compacting the activity information in the observation term based on this control, an activity map image generator 38 for generating an activity map image from the activity information of the observation term, and an output controller 39 for generating a monitoring screen containing the activity map image and the image of the monitoring area and outputting the monitoring screen.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 17
