PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lessen a load of a data transfer from a head unit to main body unit.SOLUTION: A head unit comprises: light projection means for projecting incidence light as structuring illumination of a prescribed projection pattern according to a phase shift method; imaging means for shooting a plurality of pattern projection images by acquiring reflection light reflected upon a work from an oblique direction with respect to an optical axis of the light projection means; a head side computation unit for acquiring three-dimensional height information on the work on the basis of the plurality of shot pattern projection images; head side storage means for holding the three-dimensional height information on the work acquired by the head side computation unit; and head side communication means for transmitting the three-dimensional height information on the work held by the head side storage means to a controller unit. The controller unit comprises: controller side communication means that communicates with the head side communication means; and a controller side control unit for executing prescribed image processing on the basis of the three-dimensional height information on the work received by the controller side communication means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
