Problem to be solved: Currently, the known scintillation response shortening method of the scintillation material suppresses the amplitude inferior slow component (2) of the scintillation response, but this method can significantly reduce the amplitude dominant component of the scintillation response. There are limits. Solution: The present invention relates to a method for shortening the scintillation response of scintillator emission centers, using co-doping with Ce or Pr together with co-doping with lanthanides, 3d transition metals, 4d transition metals or 5s 2 or 6s 2 ions. As a result of absorption of electromagnetic radiation, when the electrons in the luminescent center are excited, the scintillator fabricated in this way removes part of the energy from the excited luminescent center by non-radiative energy transition, and the amplitude dominant component of the scintillation response ( A significant reduction in the duration of 1) results.
