Antibodies that exhibit a reaction specific to disulfide HMGB1 were provided. In addition, a method and a measurement kit or reagent for specifically measuring disulfide HMGB1 by the antibody were provided. Furthermore, all HMGB1 measurement methods and kits or reagents for measurement using the antibody and an antibody that binds to both disulfide HMGB1 and reduced HMGB1 but does not bind to des-HMGB1 were provided.
