PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chemical looping combustion apparatus capable of removing coarse particles and fine particles out of oxygen carrier particles.SOLUTION: A chemical looping combustion apparatus 100 comprises: an air reactor 10 oxidizing oxygen carrier particles with air; a combustion reactor 14 reducing the oxygen carrier particles with gas (G, F); and a particle separator 36 removing coarse particles p1 and fine particles p2 out of the oxygen carrier particles and collecting the remaining oxygen carrier particles, the particle separator 36 including a riser-type gravity separation section 30 extending vertically, a cyclone section 32 connected to an upper portion 30a of the gravity separation section 30, and a dust collection section 34 connected to an upper portion 32a of the cyclone section 32.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
