PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coring composition enabling a cured film excellent in heat resistance to be formed, a cured film, a color filter, a method for producing a color filter, a solid state imaging device, an image display device, a coloring agent, and a method for producing a coloring agent.SOLUTION: The coloring composition is provided that contains a coloring agent and a resin. The coloring agent has cation represented by formula (1) and anion that contains an oxygen atom and at least one selected from a tungsten atom, a molybdenum atom, a silicon atom and a phosphorus atom.
