Projection pathway selective gene expression control

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system which can express genes while selecting projection path and to provide uses thereof.SOLUTION: The invention provides a gene expression system comprising a first adenovirus associated viral vector which expresses a gene encoding a conjugate of a site-specific DNA recombinant enzyme and a C-terminal fragment of tetanus toxin; and a second adenovirus associated viral vector which expresses an interest gene only under the presence of the site-specific DNA recombinant enzyme. The method comprises infecting the first adenovirus associated viral vector to a nerve cell which is present in a first region, and infecting the second adenovirus associated viral vector to the nerve cell which is present in the region projected on the first region.
