PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which, in a simultaneous counting method in radiation measurement, a total simultaneous counting component includes a background component and a foreground component, and hence the foreground component must be separated from the total simultaneous counting component in order to accurately quantify the foreground component.SOLUTION: In this method, in radiation measurement using simultaneous counting, an estimated value of an accidental simultaneous counting rate for each combination of the energy segments of at least two radiation detectors is calculated, on the basis of the counting rate for each energy segment of an energy spectrum that is obtained independently by each of at least two detectors used for the simultaneous counting.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
