PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data preservation program with which it is possible to reduce an area to be reserved in a volatile storage unit.SOLUTION: The present invention makes a computer execute, upon accepting a first indication, a process for writing data to be preserved into the pre-sound storage area of a volatile storage unit and a process for transmitting the data written into the pre-sound storage area to a server device that preserves data and measuring a transmission speed at which data is transmitted to the server device, and execute, upon accepting a second indication, a process S202 for determining the size of the core-sound storage area of the storage unit on the basis of a write speed at which data is written into the pre-sound storage area and the transmission speed, a process S203 for reserving the core-sound storage area of the determined size, a process 204 for writing data into the core-sound storage area, and a process S205 for transmitting the data written into the core-sound storage area to the server device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
