PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acid group-containing (meth)acrylate resin that excels in all of flame retardancy, heat resistance, hardness, and electric reliability and has high developability, a production method of the acid group-containing (meth)acrylate resin, a curable resin material and a cured product of the material, and a resist material.SOLUTION: The acid group-containing (meth)acrylate resin has a resin structure obtained by allowing a (meth)acrylate resin intermediate described below to react with a polybasic acid anhydride. The (meth)acrylate resin intermediate has such a structure that at least one aromatic nucleus in a polyarylene ether structure (X) has a naphthalene skeleton and the at least one aromatic nucleus has a moiety represented by structural formula (1-1) or (1-2).
