PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately grasp an article takeout action.SOLUTION: A purchase mind investigation system of an embodiment includes tags attached to respective articles, a terminal device, and an information processing unit that processes pieces of information distributed from the tags and terminal device. The tag includes a sensor that senses an article takeout action, and a transmitter that distributes a sensed takeout action to the information processing unit, and performs broadcasting within a predetermined communication range when a takeout action is sensed. The terminal device includes a receiving unit that receives information broadcasted from the tag, and a transmission unit that, when information broadcasted from the tag is received, transmits information, which signifies that a takeout action is performed on the article to which the tag is attached, to the information processing unit. The information processing unit includes a calculator that calculates the number of article takeout actions by subtracting the article takeout action, which is based on the information transmitted from the terminal device, from the number of takeout actions sensed for each article.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
