To provide a feed dog replacement device which is capable of reliably attaching a feed dog to a feed mechanism of a sewing machine without fine adjustments by a sewing worker and which is capable of easily detaching the feed dog by one operation, and to provide the sewing machine including the feed dog replacement device. A feed dog replacement device mounts a feed dog on and dismounts the feed dog from a feed mechanism of a sewing machine, and includes a feed base that moves horizontally and vertically in response to a movement of the feed mechanism, a feed dog base that is mounted on the feed base such that a mounting position is adjustable, and the feed dog that is positioned at and attached to the feed dog base. The feed dog base includes a fitting recessed portion for positioning the feed dog. The feed dog includes a mounting portion that is fitted to the fitting recessed portion. The feed dog replacement device further includes a replacing lever that rotates between an attachment position where the feed dog base and the mounting portion of the feed dog are attached to each other and a detachment position where they are detached from each other.
