Provided is technology that can reduce acoustic noise due to a gradient magnetic field even when the device-specific frequency response function (FRF) differs for each magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) device. A plurality of types of gradient magnetic field waveforms that satisfy a prescribed condition for flow compensation is generated. The sound pressure of the acoustic noise generated when a gradient magnetic field waveform is applied to a gradient magnetic field coil in the magnetic resonance imaging device is found for each of the plurality of gradient magnetic field waveforms. The gradient magnetic field waveform having an acoustic noise sound pressure of no more than a predetermined threshold value is selected from the plurality of gradient magnetic field waveforms. The selected gradient magnetic field waveform is stored in a storage medium as a representative waveform that can be used.
