The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a briquette and a briquette manufactured using the same. The method for manufacturing a briquette can comprise: a step of preparing waste slurry containing silicon; a first oil washing step of separating a slurry containing silicon and a water-soluble oil from the waste slurry containing silicon; and a molding step of forming a briquette by using a mixture in which the slurry containing silicon is mixed with a binder, and waste slurry containing silicon, generated when preparing a semiconductor or a solar cell wafer, can be purified so as to be used for heating molten steel and component control in a steel making process.
