In a collaborative work between multiple terminals, a collaborative work system and edit control that improve the display synchronization performance between terminals by quickly and appropriately reflecting the edits performed on one terminal on the display data of other terminals. A program and an edit control method are provided. The control unit (editing control program) of each client terminal that performs collaborative work receives display data for displaying one or a plurality of objects from the server, displays a screen based on the display data on the display unit, and controls the operation unit. When an operation is received, it is determined whether an editing operation has been performed on the predetermined object, and when it is determined that an editing operation has been performed on the predetermined object, editing information indicating the content of the editing operation is sent to the server and other terminals. Based on the display data received from the server and the editing information received from the terminal, the other terminal displays a screen in which a predetermined object is edited on the display unit of the terminal itself.
