(A) heating the polybutyl terephthalate resin in an organic solvent to obtain a polybutylene terephthalate resin solution (dissolution step); and (b) flash-cooling the solution to obtain a polybutylene terephthalate resin solution. A method for producing polybutylene terephthalate resin particles, comprising a step of precipitating particles (precipitation step). The present invention provides a method for producing PBT resin particles that can be carried out industrially and in a simple operation. In addition, the present invention provides extremely fine and uniform particle size PBT resin particles.
