The present disclosure relates to a method for suppressing obesity, which includes administering to a subject a compound represented by the following formula; wherein n is an integer of 1 to 5; when n is 1, R¹ is —OH or —O-glycosyl; when n is an integer of 2 to 5, one R¹ is —OH and the other R¹(s) is/are —O-glycosyl; and R² is -glycosyl.
