A system for determination of port arrival and departure, the system includes a memory and a processor coupled to the memory, wherein the processor: displays a map including sea areas, receives designation of a line on the displayed map, obtains position information on a vessel, and determines arrival to a port or departure from a port of the vessel according to movement of the vessel across the line between a first area corresponding to one side of sides of the line and a second area corresponding to the other side of the sides, the movement being detected based on the position information.
