industrial scale process of obtaining high purity cobalt sulfate by solvent extraction technique of cobalt ore leachate represented by an inventive solution in the chemical sector, specifically the sector that produces high purity cobalt sulfate to meet the animal, industrial and agricultural nutrition markets, whose main objective is to obtain purification of 2 to 6% magnesium cobalt ore, 0.1 to 3.5% manganese, and zinc 0.05 to 0.2%, for the production of cobalt sulfate composed of 20% cobalt, 100ppm manganese, copper and zinc, achieving co / mg selectivity in the range of 2,000 to 6,000 times, and for this purpose The purification process incorporates solvent extraction technology, which comprises extraction substeps (e.3.1); washing (e.3.2); selective reextraction (e.3.3); regeneration (e.3.4) and pre-neutralization (e.3.5), being performed in countercurrent, obtaining the "feed solution" whose average composition is co = 10g / l, mg = 2.5g / l, mn = 0.2g / l, cu = 0.2g / l, zn = 0.3g / l and ph = 5 - 5.5.
