The present invention describes synthesis methodologies for the molecular sieves mcm-41 and sba-15 from a route that reduces their production costs, in an initial estimate by about 20% to 40%, replacing conventional silica sources with vitreous waste (glass dust) that has low economic value and high ecological value because it is the recycling of an industrial waste.
